It’s the people in our lives, at home and at work, who most significantly impact our wellbeing and our performance. Scientific research points clearly to this fact; the best thing we can do for our mental and physical health is to connect more authentically with others, and, more deeply with ourselves.

 

Public Online Meditation Classes - Starting in October 2024

Gather your crew and join Liv every Monday at 12pm via Zoom for a 45 minute live mindfulness meditation class. A different topic will be explored every week and you will be reminded of how truly miraculous you are (as well as learn some practical skills to start using immediately).

STABLE GROUND - MEDITATION FOR PSYCHOLOGISTS

Wed October 30th & Wed November 27th @ 6pm

 This is our third year of offering our Stable Ground program and this will be the final offering for 2024.

We created Stable Ground – Professional Development sessions specifically and exclusively for psychologists. These sessions have been created by Liv Downing, who has been a Council member of Meditation Australia, is a registered Senior Meditation teacher and registered psychologist. She has been supported by many meditation experts in the design and delivery of this program.

Participants will gain an opportunity to experience meditation for themselves, or refresh an existing meditation practice, and learn how to add the benefits of meditation to client care.

1:1 PSYCHOTHERAPY

Bringing her 25 years of professional experience to a therapeutic setting, Liv offers psychotherapy from A Place to Be in Albert Park. Believing each person is unique in thier needs and therefore required treatment, she draws on a range of therapeutic techniques including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems) and mindfulness-based therapy (of course!). She specialises in working with adults navigating the challenges of work, relationships, health-concerns, grief and symptoms of depression, anxiety and burn-out. She especially enjoys working with women. Medicare rebates are available with a GP referral. Please contact Liv directly for more information.
